Grace has been on anti-seizure meds since last
October. We started out on Keppra, then added Tegretol, and now
decided the Tegretol isn't working so we've reduced the dosage and have
added Topamax to the mix. I know it's
what we need to do, but it just really upsets me that we have to put
all these drugs into her system and play the waiting game to see if any
have a positive impact on the seizure activity. The really hard
thing with all of these medication is they really to impact Grace's energy
and personality to some degree. Now granted she is 2 1/2 yrs old, so
she isn't the most agreeable anyways, but these medications really seem to
amplify her moodiness.
